Saturday 30 March, 2.00pm

The Battle of the Frontiers: The French at War, 1914 by Peter Hart

In our version of history the British Expeditionary Force only retreated during the Battle of the Frontiers in August 1914 because the French ‘gave way’ to their right and forced them to conform. The reality is very different and this is a travesty given the murderous fighting they endured when France and Germany met head-on; a clash that sought to determine the future of the world at the start of the Great War. Based on a new book by well known author and historian Peter Hart.

Tickets are £3.00 per talk (plus admission charges) and can be booked in advance by visiting the DLI shop or by calling us on 03000 266590.
