32.11 BUGLERS SWORDS

As previously reported the Association sponsored a number of engravings on the new Buglers Swords issued to The Rifles Bugle Sections. We sponsored our 11 VCs plus Sir Henry de Beauvoir de Lisle (sword no 106). The Gateshead & Newcastle Branch, OCA 8/11 Bns and Sir Peter de la Billiere made individual sponsorships. A list of these, showing the distribution of the swords, is enclosed with this Bulletin.

33.11 DLI MEMORIAL - SITREP

At the Executive Committee AGM on 20 April a number of members suggested that there was a lack of general information surrounding the proposed DLI Memorial to be erected at Alrewas sometime in 2012. Brigadier Bob McGregor-Oakford dispatched a SITREP on March 26th which I think answers most questions and I enclose an abridged version of it with this Bulletin.
